Alright guys, listen up and I will give you the run down of what movies to see this summer. I work at a movie theatre, so I'll tell you what people are excited for. For the most part, its the Action Movies that are causing all the hype.
First off, you got your action movies. Wolverine better, should and will be better than the enitre X-men trio. On top of that, you've got Star Trek. Now I've never been that much of a Star Trek fan, but if you are... more power to you. It doesn't look too shabby. Next, we've got the newest Terminator movie with the always loved, yet phsyco bitch, Christian Bale. I'm not sure if he can do a better job than Arnold, but with the much better CGI now adays, he can try. The best action movie to see this summer, no questions asked, is Transformers 2. Michael Bay and crew not only did a fantastic job with the first one, but an even better job pumping a new one out a remarkable 2 years later. Even if the movie is bad (which we're all hoping will not be the case) we still all get the distinct honor of not watching Megan Fox transform into anything. Lastly, the surprise movie of the summer will have to be GI Joe. Most of you may associate GI Joe with the corny cartoon from the 80's and 90's, but if you disagree with me, go watch the trailor and tell me what you think.
Just to bunch the remaining movies together, we've got Angels and Demons which applies to a very particular, yet large viewing audience. We have Harry Potter, who I do not care about.. but many do. We also have the comedy observe and report which can easily go both ways due to Seth Rogan being very hit or miss. However, he also has a movie coming out later this summer with Adam Sandler which I have much higher hopes for. Finally, SB Cohen reaches into his pocket passed Borat to bring us Bruno. I never watched the show, so I really cannot judge.
Overall, it looks like a promising summer for the Box Office, but only time will tell.
